AI-Powered Destination & Tourism Experience Platform
Builds a personalised itinerary for every visitor in under 60 seconds and manages real-time capacity across attractions to eliminate overcrowding
Overview
Built for a regional tourism authority in the US managing 12 heritage and nature destinations across two states.
The Challenge
Visitor experience was inconsistent, attraction capacity was unmanaged, and international visitors had no multilingual support.
What We Built
A destination app that generates personalised itineraries in under 60 seconds, manages real-time capacity across attractions, and delivers AI audio guides in multiple languages.
Customizable by Design
Itinerary logic, capacity thresholds, the attraction catalog, and supported languages are all configurable per destination authority, so the same platform adapts to a single heritage site or a multi-state network. The AI works both ways: destination managers get predictable visitor flow and capacity forecasting, while visitors get an itinerary shaped around their own interests and pace.
What Sets This Apart
- •Live replanning — itineraries adjust in real time as weather, closures, or crowding change, instead of a one-time plan generated at the start of the trip
- •Network-level capacity orchestration across every site an authority manages, not one attraction in isolation — built for regional transport and infrastructure planning, not just visitor apps
- •Built-in ancillary revenue upsells (local vendors, dynamic ticketing) that flow back to the destination authority, turning the app from a cost center into a revenue line
- •For giga-project scale — Absher-integrated identity and a dedicated Hajj and Umrah crowd-safety logistics module, a uniquely Saudi requirement global travel apps don't build for
Results
- •2.3M personalised itineraries generated
- •41% increase in average visitor dwell time
- •28% reduction in overcrowding incidents at peak attractions
- •English, Spanish, French, and Mandarin supported at launch
